LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this photo Keith Jones took of Scott in the studio the first day of recording for his new CD. I wanted some of Scott's handwriting and his thoughts on a scrapbook page. The result of both was this layout of "My favorite things in the studio".

AND...the circles on the right hand side are my bargain find cork circles covered in patterned paper!!!

1. The joy of taking a song, that I created out of thin air, from just words on a page to music.

2. The "anything goes" mentality, if you can imagine something you can do it. Being able to add parts that you normally wouldn't in a live situation.

3. The whole creative process of "building" songs.

4. Giving my songs to the band and having them play them the way they hear it, which is often very different from how I hear it. Giving them creative freedom.

5. The sheer joy of playing music with friends I truly love and admire. That tops all.
