Gorgeous weather here in GA this weekend! Perfect for horseback riding. Saturday I took George out to Barnsley Gardens to ride him in the ring. It took a bit to get him on the trailer the first time since he hadn't been on there since the summer. He trotted with me on him for the first time and did great. He didn't even try to trot fast, just kind of jogged around. A real western pleasure prospect! Saturday evening Scott and I went out for some yummy mexican food and watched the Atlanta Falcons lose to the Cowboys. Could have been a better end to the day, but it was a good game up until the end....where we lost.
Today Scott took George and Buster out to Barnsley with him in the morning and I met them over there with chicken biscuits and sweet tea. After working George a bit in the round pen he went on his first trail ride with his big brother Buster. He was a real champ! I had to get off and walk him through the little creek, but he went over 4 wooden bridges with me on him and hardly blinked an eye. What a good boy!
After leaving Barnsley I loaded up all the recycling (which was a lot!) and trash into the truck and made a run to the remote site and recycling center. Then I deposited some checks in the bank, bought some more Christmas gifts and picked up our Christmas tree from Home Depot.
This evening we decorated our tree, watched football and ordered pizza. I swear this vacation already seems like it's flying by! I haven't even had any time to scrapbook yet! Definitely tomorrow after getting some other things done. At least one page....
