I bustled around like a mad woman Thursday morning trying to get a few last minute things done before Dad's arrival. I cleaned the barn, washed the big truck and filled it with diesel, and did some last minute Christmas shopping. Then I cleaned up around the house until he arrived at 3pm. He just missed Scott who had not been gone five minutes on his way down to Gwinnett to play a Christmas party. Dad and I tried to go eat at Longhorn but the wait for a table was over 45 minutes, so we went next door to the italian place and had some yummy chicken parmesan.
Last night we watched the Packers and Vikings play. It may have been Brett Favre's last game at Lambeau field. An historic moment for sure. The Packers won 9-7 although Favre did not score any touchdowns. They had 3 field goals.
Today we got up and went to Cracker Barrel for breakfast and ran some errands. I finished wrapping the last three Christmas presents. We are having pork loin, rice, corn and garlic bread for dinner and then Scott is going to a Christmas jam session at a friend's house and Dad and I are relaxing here at the farm.
Can't believe it is only 3 days until Christmas. We are opening our gifts to each other here on Christmas Eve so we don't have to cart them down to Karen's on Christmas morning. Can't wait for Scott to open his gifts. It's been a fun week!
