I had a busy, busy weekend. On Sat. after going to get grain for the horses at 8am, I majorly cleaned the barn, washed the Subaru and then spent 4 hours taking down Christmas decorations and getting a head start on cleaning for the party Sat. Feels good to be so productive on a weekend...sometimes. Scott made a lasagna for dinner and we watched football while I set up the laptop (that took forever making all the system recovery CDs and loading software) and trying to get the wireless router to work. I never did get it to work and ended up calling tech support on Sunday morning. They walked me through a bunch of stuff and now it is working great! Love it! Can watch football and surf on TwoPeas at the same time! Life is good!
Sunday was busy too…got up and cleaned the kitchen. Then starting going through all the 2006 paperwork to be boxed up and looking for receipts for tax write offs. I didn’t finish doing that and there are piles of papers all over the floor. Scott is going to the studio tonight so I plan on finishing that up while he’s gone. Sunday night we drove down to McDonough with some friends and met some other friends for dinner at Longhorn. The three guys (Scott, Jim and Tim are starting a ranch roping association and had their first meeting. I’m doing the website. And I might have gotten another website job out of it because Jim is involved in a chuck wagon association (they actually do competitive authentic chuck wagon cooking!! ) that is forming here in GA and they will need a site too. I love doing these cowboy/horse sites!
This week is crazy! I’ve got a client meeting at lunch today. Lunch tomorrow for my birthday with my boss and co-workers. They are seriously the best ever!! A client meeting with the Rome Braves after work on Wed, lunch Thursday with friend from the county and lunch Friday with Julie. ACK!! I’m glad we’ve got a three day weekend next weekend. We are off Monday for MLK. Scott will be gone to a ranch roping – leaving Friday night and coming home Sunday – so I hope to get a lot done (website work) while he is gone.
I seriously cannot believe it is my 35 birthday tomorrow. Time is just flying by! It doesn’t even really "feel" like my birthday is tomorrow. I think we are going out for dinner. I need to pick a restaurant, but I have no idea where. I’d like to go somewhere different, like not Longhorn or Outback or Red Lobster…somewhere we wouldn’t normally go. But I have no idea where. There are only so many choices in Rome. Maybe D Morgans in Cartersville with a stop at Hobby Lobby!
You’ll never guess what happened at Walmart this past Friday! We went there after work to buy a wireless router, some CD-Rs and a movie to watch while eating dinner. We picked up Wedding Crashers. The cashier actually CARDED me to buy the movie!! She asked to see ID and I was like “What for?” because we didn’t have any alcohol. And she says “You have to be 17 to buy certain movies.” HONESTLY, do I LOOK 17 to you!!? 25 maybe, I’d be flattered, but 17?? Ummm…no. My license was in the car and Scott didn’t have his so she didn’t let us buy the movie. Can you believe that? Scott will be THIRTY EIGHT next month!! We look young, but neither of us looks close to 17. How annoying! Ok, vent over…
SO looking forward to seeing all my friends at the jewelry party on Saturday! I've been looking forward to this for weeks now. Can't wait!
