Scott's trip to Nashville

Posted by Dana Lynn Thompson

On Tuesday, May 2nd Scott was invited by Jim Owens to go to John Rich's house for a night of cocktails and blackjack that Jim had bid on in a charity auction. John Rich is 1/2 of the duo Big and Rich and used to be with the band Lonestar. He was also ASCAP's songwriter of the year the last two years running.

Scott went up early to go through Gruen guitars, his favorite store on earth. Then he and Jim met for some appetizers before being picked up in a super cool vintage Cadillac El Dorado with giant bull horns on the front. They hung out at John's for a while and played blackjack. Scott made $50! After that, they all headed over to a club to hear some singers from the Music Mafia, a group of singer/songwriters trying to make it big.

On the way home Scott stopped at Jack Daniel's distillery for the tour. He said the tour was really fascinating and I'd really like to take the tour sometime as well. The pictures looked really cool. Sorry, no pictures from John Rich's.
